Vid2Pod is Blubrry’s video‑to‑podcast tool that turns YouTube videos into podcast episodes — no extra uploads. Once connected, new videos you publish to a selected YouTube playlist will be converted to audio and added to your Blubrry podcast feed automatically.
Overview: What you’ll do
- Choose Blubrry Publisher and enable Vid2Pod
- Accept Vid2Pod Terms of Service
- Connect your YouTube channel
- Select the playlist to convert
- Set import preferences (all videos or from a date)
- Import and let Vid2Pod generate podcast episodes
Prerequisites
- An active Blubrry Hosting account
- A YouTube channel with at least one playlist you control
Step 1 — Open Publishing Settings
- Log in to your Blubrry Podcaster Dashboard.
- In the left menu, go to Dashboard, then click the Publishing button at the top.
Step 2 — Choose Blubrry Publisher & Enable Vid2Pod
- On the Publishing Settings screen, select Blubrry Publisher (Recommended).
- Check Use Vid2Pod with this option.
- Click Save and Continue.
Step 3 — Accept Vid2Pod Terms
Review the Vid2Pod Terms of Service (includes copyright and indemnification). Check the required boxes and click Agree to proceed.
Step 4 — Connect Your YouTube Channel
- Enter your YouTube Channel Handle (e.g.,
@YourChannelName
) and click the search icon. - When your channel appears, select Yup, this is my show!
- Click Confirm.

- Choose the playlist that contains the videos you want converted into podcast episodes.
- Click Confirm.
Step 6 — Set Import Preferences
- Choose to import all videos in the playlist or set a start date.
- Select whether to use your existing channel artwork or upload your own.
- Click Import to begin the conversion.
What happens next?
When the initial import completes, you’ll see a Conversion Complete message on your Dashboard. From then on, whenever you publish a video to the selected playlist:
- It’s automatically converted to audio.
- It appears as a new episode in your Blubrry podcast feed.
- Your feed updates the podcast apps/directories where your show is listed (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.).
Tips & Notes
- Titles & descriptions: Keep your YouTube titles and descriptions clear — they help create clean podcast episode metadata.
- Artwork: Choose channel artwork that meets podcast app guidelines (square, high‑resolution) or upload custom artwork during setup.
- Playlists: Use a dedicated playlist for content you want in your podcast feed.
