Getting Started with Pod2Vid

Pod2Vid lets Blubrry Hosting customers with the Thrive Bundle create simple, full‑length videos of podcast episodes in just a few steps. Pick an episode, tweak the look, add chapters/images, and download a share‑ready video for YouTube or social media.

Overview: What you’ll do

  1. Open Pod2Vid
  2. Choose a podcast episode
  3. Build the video & assign speakers
  4. Customize the look
  5. Generate & edit chapters (add images/links)
  6. Build the final video
  7. Download and upload to YouTube or social

Step 1 — Open Pod2Vid

From the left‑hand menu, go to Episodes > Create Pod2Vid.

First time here? You’ll see a blue New Build button. Click it to start your first video. Future builds will appear in a list on this page.

Step 2 — Choose your episode

Select one of your published episodes from the list.

Don’t see an episode? Go to Show > Manage and click Refresh Feed. This pulls your episodes into the Blubrry Directory and updates the list in Pod2Vid. Then return to Pod2Vid.

Step 3 — Build the video (transcript & speakers)

Click Build Video next to your selected episode. Pod2Vid will process your audio and generate a transcript. When prompted, assign speakers and click Next to continue.

Processing time varies by episode length. You’ll be able to continue once the transcript is ready.

Step 4 — Customize the video look

Make minor adjustments to your video’s appearance (branding options will expand as Pod2Vid evolves). When you’re happy, proceed to chapters.

Step 5 — Build chapters

Click Build Chapters, set the maximum number of chapters, then click Generate Chapters.

Already have chapters? Existing chapters from your episode will import automatically and can be edited here.

Step 6 — Edit chapters & add media

Review the generated chapters. You can:

  • Adjust timing and titles
  • Add links (e.g., episode resources, sponsor URLs)
  • Add images for each chapter

Image guidelines: Use widescreen 16:9 images under 2 MB for best results on YouTube and social. No images? Try the built‑in Unsplash search for free photos.

Click Save Changes when finished, then choose Build Video.

Step 7 — Finalize & download

Pod2Vid will render your video. When it’s ready, you’ll receive an email.

Return to the Pod2Vid dashboard to view, download, and optionally refine the auto‑generated description using Blubrry PAI. Then upload your video to YouTube or social platforms.
