Import Podcast

If you already have a podcast hosted elsewhere, you can import it into PowerPress using your existing RSS feed. This will bring in your episodes and settings so you can continue publishing from your WordPress site.

Choose Your Hosting Platform

Select your current podcast host (such as Libsyn, Buzzsprout, or SoundCloud). If your host isn’t listed, choose Anywhere else.

Tip: No matter which option you choose, the process is the same—you’ll just need your podcast’s RSS feed URL.

Enter Your Podcast Feed

Paste your podcast’s RSS feed URL into the Podcast Feed URL field.

This feed contains all of your episodes and podcast information. Once entered, PowerPress will use it to import your content.

Import Options (Optional)

Most users can leave the default settings as-is, but here’s a quick overview of the key options:

  • Match episodes by GUID: Required for accurate importing.
  • Match by filename (recommended): Helps match episodes more reliably.
  • Post Status: Choose whether imported episodes are published immediately or saved as drafts.
  • Episode Limit: Optionally limit how many episodes are imported.
Tip: If you’re unsure, stick with the default settings. They work well for most imports.

Migrate Your Media (Optional)

If you want to move your media files (audio files) to Blubrry hosting, check Migrate media to your Blubrry hosting account.

This step is optional—you can continue using your existing media host if you prefer.

Start the Import

Once everything is set, click Import Podcast to begin.

PowerPress will import your episodes into your WordPress site so you can manage and publish them moving forward.
