Vid2Pod is Blubrry’s video-to-podcast conversion tool that turns YouTube videos into podcast episodes — no extra upload steps required. Once set up, new videos published to your selected YouTube playlist will automatically be converted to audio and added to your Blubrry podcast feed.
How to Set Up Vid2Pod
1. Log In and Access Publishing Settings
- Log in to your Blubrry Podcaster Dashboard.
- In the left-hand menu, go to Dashboard and click the Publishing button at the top of the screen.
2. Choose Blubrry Publisher + Enable Vid2Pod
- On the Publishing Settings screen, select Blubrry Publisher (Recommended).
- Check the box labeled “Use Vid2Pod with this option.”
- Click Save and Continue.
3. Agree to Vid2Pod Terms of Service
- You’ll be taken to the Vid2Pod Terms of Service, which includes a copyright notice and indemnification clause.
- Check the required boxes after reviewing the terms, then click Agree to proceed.
4. Connect Your YouTube Channel
- Enter your YouTube Channel Handle (e.g.,
@YourChannelName) and click the search icon. - When your channel appears, check “Yup, this is my show!”
- Click Confirm.
5. Select a YouTube Playlist
- Choose the playlist that contains the videos you want converted into podcast episodes.
- Important: This playlist should not be the same one used by another podcast RSS feed.
- Click Confirm.
6. Set Import Preferences
- Choose to import all videos or select a start date for importing.
- Select whether to use your channel artwork or upload your own.
- Click Import to begin conversion.
What Happens Next?
Once the initial import finishes, you’ll see a “Conversion Complete” message on your Dashboard.
From then on, whenever you publish a video to the playlist you selected:
- It will be automatically converted to audio.
- It will appear as a new episode in your Blubrry podcast feed.
- Your feed will update on podcast apps and directories where your show is listed (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.).
