We’ve recently added a new WordPress theme: Penscratch 2, meaning we now have eight themes available. Those using our websites can now update their themes and those just signing on for a Blubrry Site and receiving the free WordPress site will be given the updated theme automatically.
Sites Offerings: Free and Advanced
A free WordPress Site is included with any show using our podcast hosting. Advanced WordPress Sites are available with any Advanced Hosting subscription and allows for podcasters to use their own domain / URL for enhanced branding.
We decided on a handful of requirements when we set out to find a new WordPress theme:
- Keep it simple! Nothing too complicated, as it hinders people from using it
- Allow for one page and / or sidebar capability
- Include a header image! Very common and looks great
- Support the WordPress block editor for posts and themes
