The Pestle: In-depth Movie Talk, No Fluff | Film Review | Spoilers
Ep 229: “Prisoners”
We trap Denis Villeneuve’s “Prisoners” and discuss:
- Cinematography, camera movement;
- Story & Writing, good detective/bad detective, testing faith;
- Wes unintentionally overstates his thoughts on the impact of the movie;
- and other such stuff and things and stuff.

Notes & References:
*Wes Note: I did not actually find any official source discussing or defining rationalizing/generalization of fictionalized evidence. I assume this is more of an armchair/pop psych term, it’s certainly interesting, but from my quick googling does not appear to be a medically recognized concept. So in fact, it may not be a real thing as I claimed in the episode.
