The Barbie movie is now a billion dollar phenomenon – with good reason. It’s a movie told from a woman’s point of view that is unabashedly feminist but fairminded in how it treats its other protagonist, Ken. While it’s visually stunning and the soundtrack is fun, there’s a deeper message about gender roles, expectations, society and romantic relationships.
