Have you ever asked "why do evil people prosper?" (or something similar) If so this sermon may be helpful as we look at a situation where Mordecai prob said the same thing, and also see that it was all part of God's big plan!

Last week we saw that God can use anyone to do His work, and this week we see a couple of unlikely candidates that God will use in a mighty way! (and a reminder that He wants to use all of us for His glory and the good of others!)

In chapter one we see some of the chess pieces that God will use to bring about another part of HIs glorious plan for HIs people. Including the great Persian Empire and it's king, Xerxes I. Who prove to have no authority over God!

Why was the book of Esther written? Where are the people of God, how did they get there, what is God up to in their lives? This sermon answers many of those background/setting questions and helps us be more prepared to study the rest of the book!

Have you ever been facing something that should have been scary, but you weren't scared because you were confident in your preparedness? Psalm 46 shows us how life with God is (or should be) a lot like that!

We look at Hebrews 4:14-16 to see how Jesus' coming to earth provides us with a God that not only knows where we are and what we are dealing with, but a God who has been where we are and has dealt with similar circumstances!

We look at Matthew 1:18-25 to see that Immanuel is a name, but it is also a description, and that description tells us a lot about Jesus!

Interim youth minister Dusty Shack looks at Romans 6 to see how we have been set free from sin, and what that means for us now!

Philippians 4:10-20, we finish up the book of Philippians by seeing a "thank-you" note to the Philippians, that really stands to remind them that Christ has used them to help Paul.

In Philippians 4:8-9 we see instructions about how to think and what to think on in order to have more joy, peace, and a better walk in life!
