In today’s RiCAST, learn more about how RIEGL scanners are used in the forestry sector, what makes them so special in the forestry context, and what capabilities are open to you when using these sensors and the data obtained from them.

Günther Bronner, Managing Director of Umweltdata, and Bernhard Groiss, RIEGL Applications Engineer Terrestrial Laser Scanning, will focus on terrestrial laser scanning in the forestry sector and the incredible time gained, both in data acquisition in the field and in post-processing, reported by practical use.

Günther Bronner - an innovator in the field of commercial, digital forest inventory - has been working in forest inventory for 40 years, and with laser scan data for over 15 years. Umweltdata has utilized a RIEGL VZ-400i terrestrial laser scanner for numerous years.

Bernhard Groiss, RIEGL Applications Engineer in Terrestrial Laser Scanning, has a background education in forestry as well as previous experience working in the forestry sector.

Tune in now to learn more and hear what’s possible with RIEGL TLS scanners in forestry!
