November 22, 2024

Are you breast self-aware? Do you know what increases your risk of breast cancer? Genetics accounts for approximately 5-10% of cases, but alcohol, a poor diet, obesity, inactivity, your reproductive history, and more are also things to be concerned about. One in eight Canadian women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime (and 1 in 830 men will). If you have dense breasts, regular mammograms may not be enough. Listen in as Dr. Lisa discusses everything from mastalgia (breast pain), and fibrocystic breasts to breast cancer and everything in between.
