Confronting Cancer, Dr. Al's Way!
Dr. Alvin Danenberg has been a periodontist for over 40 years. He is also a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, and is passionate about the power of healing from nutrition and natural remedies. If you are a regular listener, you know his story. But for those who don't, Dr. Al was diagnosed in September of 2018 with an incurable cancer of the bone marrow. We have been following along his unconventional treatment plan, that does not involve chemotherapy, but has clearly been working.
He uses diet, supplementing, exercise, immunotherapy, and other methods to combat his cancer. When he gets his blood work done, he reports back to us and his blog. Today we talk with him about his new nutrition plan that seems to have flipped his cancer upside down! We absolutely love his spirit and inspirational message to all those suffering out there with cancer or disease.

Shawn Wells, MPH, LDN, RD, CISSN, FISSN, is an expert in the fields of performance nutrition, longevity, fitness and supplementation. As well, he has been a regular on One Life Radio since nearly the very beginning. Today he joins us to talk about switching out our bad habits, for the good ones in 2020. This could mean switching out sodas for flavored Kombucha, for example, that can help you ease the transition.
Healthy eating habits are hard to adjust to, especially when you're accustomed to highly-processed foods regularly...which most of us are. Shawn gives us all the success tips to help us achieve healthy eating in the new year.
