Angela Velasquez is the owner and founder of The Kitty Bodega in Houston, TX. It is the first retail store for cats in Houston, and one of less than 10 cat stores across the country.

Since she was in college, cat rescue has been at the heart of Angela’s day-to-day life. After being in the corporate world for two decades, and after much soul-searching about how she wanted to spend her next 20 years, she decided to put her love of cats into action and she came up with the idea of The Kitty Bodega.
