I'll Have Another with Lindsey Hein Podcast

Episode 620: Allie Wilson – Olympian 800m Runner Breaks the News About Her New Coach!
Hey friends! I am so excited to welcome Allie Wilson to the show. She’s someone I’ve wanted to have on for a long time, and I just knew this conversation would be a great one — and it totally delivered.
Allie is an 800m specialist and became an Olympian last year when she placed second at the U.S. Olympic Trials and competed in Paris in the 800. She’s also represented Team USA at the World Indoor Championships and is the 2024 U.S. Indoor Champion in the 800. Her resume is seriously impressive, but beyond all that, she’s just a joy to talk to.
In this episode, we talk about her journey to the Olympics, the transition she made from soccer to track, her time training with the Atlanta Track Club under Amy and Andrew Begley, and the coaching change she’s making now — which she shares here! Allie has recently moved back to New Jersey and is taking a new approach with her training, and I can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings.
She also shares a bit about racing the 1500 more in the future, her mindset in training and competition, and how she’s grown through the ups and downs of elite running.
I absolutely loved this conversation and think you will too.
