The Healthy Charleston Podcast
Mike’s Marathon for a Cause
Join Hannah for a conversation with Mike Kelleher, CEO of Charleston Soccer Club, who's lacing up his running shoes for his first (and maybe last!) marathon. Switching from cleats to running shoes, Mike shares the personal motivations behind his London Marathon, using this opportunity to raise money for charities both here and in the UK.
Mike and Hannah talk about how he’s training for his race, how he’s incorporating strength training, and how he’s fundraising to give back. Mike is selling a number of items from the former home of the Charleston Battery - including 50 signed and framed soccer shirts - with all proceeds going to Get Kids Going!, Sarcoma UK, and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
