In today’s instant gratification society, it is very easy to be enticed by illusions of grandeur, watching successful people achieve extraordinary things, thinking to ourselves ‘wouldn’t that be nice’ or ‘I wish I could enjoy that level of success’. Unfortunately there is a lot of data & information readily available that can lead us into playing the comparison game, often with negative consequences - comparing our results to the results being achieved by the ‘super successful’ & often becoming disheartened, and leading to either a reduction in effort, or even worse, quitting.
