Unfortunately too many ‘leaders’ utilise their positional power to exert influence, demanding their team execute the plans because ‘I told you to’. They demand respect & action often through old school, command & control ‘boss like’ tactics, and view this as leadership. It is not. Great leaders know that influence comes through knowing their people exceptionally well, what makes them tick, and tapping into that.
