#139: A Triumphant Story About The Truths Underpinning the Highly Sensitive Trait [Podcast]
In this episode I give my reflections on Sensitive (The Untold Story), the movie released last week all about the trait of High Sensitivity.
As a perfect tool for introducing people (both HPSs and non-HSPs) to the core aspects of the trait and the scientific research that has been done around it, I wanted to give my thoughts on this great film and talk through some of the nuggets hidden within it. I watched it four times in three days just to make sure I didn't miss anything.
The premise of the movie is basically an introduction to high processing sensitivity, what it means to be a highly sensitive person and the vast swathes of research that has been done into children, adults, and animals with the trait. It's a comprehensive film that doesn't overwhelm. It's beautifully structured as it takes us through the various aspects of the trait in a logical and easy to follow way.
It also goes some way to dispelling myths that have naturally built up around the term as online communities have used it.
I'm not sure the plan for release. Initially it has been available to stream for a few days. Hopefully it will be permently very soon.
In the episode I cover:
