As you will know if you listened to the previous episode of the show I was recently in Cyprus delivering a performance at TEDxUnic. My intention was to spend this week’s episode reflecting on my experiences expanding my comfort zone into the realm of public speaking.

I have decided to leave that until next week and use this opportunity to talk instead about responding to adversity.

The trip to Cyprus involved a slightly more unexpected element, namely that our luggage (including the gear I needed to perform with) didn’t make it beyond Paris. It turned up 6 hours after my performance, and a few hours before the flight home.

As you can imagine, this made for a bit of a stressful couple of days.

In this episode of the podcast I wanted to explore ways in which we can turn some of the bad stuff that happens to us into opportunities and see the gift in these moments of adversity (however hard it feels!) I wanted to use my experience to inspire you to think about moments of despair that you experience in a new light.
