The Three Jewels are Everywhere | Chodo Robert Campbell
In this talk from earlier in the year, Chodo Sensei introduces the Three Jewels – Buddha, Dharma, Sangha – and focuses his attention on the last; the Sanskrit word for community. Chodo invites his listeners to walk with him: past his doorman, through his neighborhood, into a coffee shop, down 23rd Street, and into the New York Zen Center. “Who do you recognize as part of your community?” is a question following us where ever we go. Too often, Chodo reminds us, we speak of ‘my’ sangha, ‘my’ Buddhist community. Can we create more room – within ourselves, within every community – for others?
