Severe Thunderstorms in the Central U.S.; Marginal Risks of Flash Flooding - Thunderstorms capable of producing isolated damaging wind gusts will be possible today ahead of a cold front from the southern Plains into the upper Midwest. Strong to severe storms are expected Friday afternoon and evening across the southern High Plains. There is a marginal risk for flash flooding today over portions of the central Appalachians, southern Florida and central U.S.
