Cristobal Brings Additional Heavy Rainfall and Flooding; Severe Weather Possible in the Plains - Excessive rainfall and flooding are possible from the Gulf Coast northward into the mid-Mississippi Valley as Cristbol brings several inches of rainfall with gusty winds during the next couple of days. Elsewhere, severe thunderstorms are expected in the northern and central Plains. Despite somewhat cooler temperatures, extreme fire danger will persist in the southern Rockies and southern Plains.
