Severe Thunderstorms Possible In Northeast and South-Central Plains; Fire Weather Concerns In Southern High Plains - A vigorous system will drop into the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic to trigger some strong to severe thunderstorms with damaging winds, from the DC/Baltimore area up to New York City. Severe thunderstorms with large hail and locally heavy rain will also be possible in the south-central Plains. Finally, critical fire weather threats will consume the southern High Plains through Thursday.
