Thousands of Chickens Killed as Huge Blaze Decimates Egg Farm

Connecticut authorities are working to establish the cause of a massive fire that swept through an egg farm and likely killed thousands of chickens, fire officials said Sunday.
The fire at the Hillandale Farms property in Bozrah was reported at about 1 p.m. Saturday. The blaze drew dozens of firefighters from the area and surrounds, AP reports.
Hillandale Farms bills itself as one of the country’s top egg producers, raising over 20 million chickens for eggs. It has corporate offices in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

Way said Sunday that he could not confirm local media reports citing The Salvation Army that around 100,000 chickens were killed.

The new bitcoin and crypto-backed prepaid Binance Card is coming to Brazil, one of the exchange’s largest markets.

Mastercard and Binance have announced the launch of a bitcoin and crypto backed prepaid card in Brazil, Latin America’s largest economy.
According to a blog post, the Binance Card is currently in beta testing and is expected to be widely available in the country in the next few weeks. The Binance Card is currently already available in many European countries.
The Brazilian version will “allow all new and existing Binance users in Brazil with a valid national ID to make purchases and pay bills with cryptocurrencies.” It will charge a 0.9% fee per transaction involving bitcoin, according to the blog, and there will be an offered 8% in cashback on select purchases, while allowing ATM withdrawals without fees.

Hunter Biden’s Art Dealer to Consult Legal Services Before Pledging to Testify

Hunter Biden’s infamous art dealer with Chinese connections has not agreed to testify before Congress, citing the need to consult with legal counsel.
Georges Bergès, who has dubbed Hunter an “American story,” confirmed on Thursday he received the House Oversight Committee’s demanded letter from Wednesday requesting his appearance before the investigative panel.

It remains unclear if Bergès will testify with or without receiving a subpoena from the committee.

Here are the problems with what was revealed in this email.

Sandweg worked for Homeland Security and Customs last in 2014 and this email was from November 2015.
Sandweg obtains information from the Department of Homeland Security and Customs databases which he should not have access to. He may have a security clearance but this would not grant him access to the systems. The information that he obtained on the visa application denial is classified.
Sandweg shares the classified visa information with Hunter’s firm which is not a government agency.
Hunter’s firm shares the classified information that he never should have had with Burisma, a foreign company – this is espionage.

DOJ rejects Jordan info requests on Biden classified docs by citing special counsel appointment

Jordan had fired off a letter to Garland on Jan. 13 demanding all documents and communications between the DOJ, the FBI, and the Executive Office of the President about Biden’s classified documents, but the DOJ response back largely denied the Ohio Republican’s information requests.
“Your letter … requests non-public information that is central to the ongoing Special Counsel investigation,” the assistant attorney general told Jordan on Monday. “The Department’s longstanding policy is to maintain the confidentiality of such information regarding open matters. This policy protects the American people’s interest in the evenhanded, dispassionate, and effective administration of justice. Disclosing non-public information about ongoing investigations could violate statutory requirements or court orders, reveal road maps of our investigations, and interfere with the Department’s ability to gather facts, interview witnesses, and bring criminal prosecutions where warranted.”
Jordan’s office quickly responded.
“Our Members are rightly concerned about the Justice Department’s double standard here. After all, some of the Biden documents were found at a think tank that has received funds from communist China,” Jordan spokesman Russell Dye told the Washington Examiner. “It’s concerning, to say the least, that the Department is more interested in playing politics than cooperating.”

After three years of the COVID-19 pandemic, many countries have returned to the pre-pandemic era by abolishing vaccine and testing requirements, while others have eased restrictions.
Japan, for example, has categorized COVID-19 the same as seasonal flu.
On Monday, World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the pandemic is not yet over.
“As you know, on Friday, the emergency committee met to consider whether that remains the case. The committee has advised me that, in its view, COVID-19 remains a global health emergency. And I agree,” Tedros said during the 152nd WHO Executive Board meeting.

The FDA is Sued in Federal Court Over Withholding Vaccine Safety Data

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is being sued for withholding the results of Covid-19 vaccine safety analyses.
The new lawsuit, filed by the nonprofit Children’s Health Defense (CHD) in federal court in Washington on January 26, contends the FDA’s actions violate federal law.
“Numerous scientists, physicians, public health experts, and other concerned individuals have questioned the safety of COVID-19 injections, and many thousands of post-injection adverse events have been reported to the federal government,” the lawsuit argues. “However, throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal government has continued to tout COVID-19 injections as ‘safe and effective,’ and to assure the public thatfederal agencies are vigilantly monitoring their safety.”
