Developing: Deal to Avert Rail Worker Strike May Fall Apart

The Biden Regime last week struck a tentative deal with rail workers to avert a strike.
However, the deal has the potential to fall apart because the union workers say they don’t have all the details on paid sick leave and ‘voluntarily assigned days off.’
However, the tentative deal may go sideways because union workers are still ‘pissed off’ and not happy with the contracts.
The Hill reported:

But nearly 36 hours after the agreement was announced, rail workers said they still didn’t have concrete details on sick leave and voluntarily assigned days off. That’s raised some doubts about just how strong the new contract language is.

The Fed is also an odd bank in that it cannot go broke. Think of it as being very much akin to Credit Suisse—no matter how much it screws up, it continues to stumble forward. I bring all of this up, because something peculiar is about to happen. Look at the consistent earnings over the past decade. What if those earnings became a sea of red ink?

Milton Friedman famously said, “Inflation is always and everywhere a monetary phenomenon in the sense that it is and can be produced only by a more rapid increase in the quantity of money than in output.” As the Fed tries to fight inflation, it’s inevitably going to smash into the wall that I have described above. As a result, I doubt they get too far on the rates side, as past a certain threshold, increasing rates only forces them to print money. Thus, higher rates only accelerate the inflation crisis—especially as higher funding costs disincentivize investment in new capacity across the economy.
In summary, higher interest rates will only increase the cash burn everywhere within the Fed and the Treasury. They’ll rapidly realize that they’re completely trapped. They cannot tame inflation without effectively bankrupting themselves. Except, Central Banks don’t go bankrupt—neither do countries that borrow in their own currencies. Instead, they’ll go bankrupt in a whirlwind of money printing and inflation.

Media Melts Down Over Virginia Schools Barring Males From Girls’ Restrooms

Republican Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin reversed state policies from 2021 that allowed students to use restrooms based on their gender identity rather than biological sex and allowed teachers to use a child’s preferred name and pronouns without informing their parents. Numerous outlets claimed this was an attack on transgender students or an elimination of transgender rights.

Macron Proposes Repopulating Rural Areas with Migrants

French president Emmanuel Macron has proposed creating a bill next year to reform France’s immigration and asylum policies, including a proposal to redistribute migrants to rural areas facing demographic decline.
According to a report from November of last year, French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin estimated the illegal alien population of France to be between 600,000 and 700,000 people.
“France has far fewer illegal immigrants than most of the major countries in Europe, starting with Great Britain: between 1 and 1.5 million against 600,000 to 700,000 for us,” he said, in an effort to downplay the issue.

President Macron, who made his remarks on Thursday, also called for a new system to redistribute migrants across France, specifically in “rural areas, which are losing population,” arguing that “the conditions for their reception will be much better than if we put them in areas that are already densely populated, with a concentration of massive economic and social problems.”
Some in France, such as populist National Rally leader Marine Le Pen, have come out against Macron’s proposal, however.
“Emmanuel Macron wants to distribute foreigners in an irregular situation [illegal aliens] to rural areas. We believe that they should go back home. Unable to apply the law, he wants to change it. We will oppose this new madness!” Le Pen said on Twitter on Friday.

There’s concern that Russia’s attempt to force reunification with Ukraine could inspire China to attack the island of Taiwan. U.S. policy since 1979 has been to recognize Taiwan as part of China but remain silent on whether the U.S. military would defend the democratic government there. This is among the places where our interview runs into controversy.”

House and Senate committees starting this week will begin work on measures to change how U.S. presidential election votes are counted and certified – including possibly amending the 135-year-old Electoral Count Act and clarifying the vice president’s role in the process.
The Senate Rules and Administration Committee announced Friday it will work on a bipartisan bill later this month to revamp the 1887 law and clarify what happens during presidential transitions.
The chairwoman of the Senate committee, Minnesota Democrat Sen. Amy Klobuchar, and the panel’s top Republican, Missouri Sen. Roy Blunt, say the “markup” of their bill will be on Sept. 27 – just days before the Senate is set to leave Capitol Hill until after the November elections.

Pentagon opens sweeping review of clandestine psychological operations

The Pentagon has ordered a sweeping audit of how it conducts clandestine information warfare after major social media companies identified and took offline fake accounts suspected of being run by the U.S. military in violation of the platforms’ rules.
Colin Kahl, the undersecretary of defense for policy, last week instructed the military commands that engage in psychological operations online to provide a full accounting of their activities by next month after the White House and some federal agencies expressed mounting concerns over the Defense Department’s attempted manipulation of audiences overseas, according to several defense and administration officials familiar with the matter.

I did too, actually, but then somebody on Telegram that was at the rally posted a video with the other side of flag showing the stars.

But it’s hung incorrectly from the side with stars, so I’m guessing Trump meant for us to see no stars as he entered & exited.

Who knows?! Fun to speculate, though. And no matter what, we need to #VOTE like our lives depend on it!
