On the income side, there was more good news: after outpacing the private sector for nearly three years, wage growth of private workers (5.0% YoY) is once again rising faster than government workers. In fact, government worker wage growth of 4.2% was the lowest since August 2021.

The bad guys used stolen identities of at least one million Americans found in data breaches and sold on the dark web to make the reimbursement requests. It’s unclear if the thieves used the unique Medicare and Medicaid identifying numbers to steal the money. Other scams used a network of Phoenix-based sober living houses to demand government payments for people who never got addiction treatment at the facilities. The facilities, run by ProMD, received $560 million before the feds caught on to the scam. In Atlanta, medical professionals ordered skin grafts for dying patients who didn’t need them. By the time the grift was discovered, they’d scammed Medicare out of $760 million.

People from as far away as Estonia have been arrested. Seven people were found trying to scuttle over the southern U.S. border but were stopped before they got away. Another bunch were caught trying to leave the country from U.S. airports. The bad actors from Russia, Pakistan, and Eastern Europe used the American health care system like their “personal piggy bank,” the Department of Justice’s Acting Criminal Division leader, Matthew Galeotti, said.

He said that “this was a staggering breach of trust” and they “will prosecute these criminals as aggressively as we would any drug dealer because that’s exactly what they are.” Musk, who stepped away from the White House after a rift with President Donald Trump, is the one who conceived and executed the DOGE project, and he’s a damned American hero. The Obama Foundation funneled $2 million into the left-wing Tides Center, a clearinghouse for “dark money” that bankrolls progressive activist groups with untraceable funds, newly released tax filings show.
Federal records reviewed by the New York Post show the foundation gave $1 million in 2022 and another $1 million in 2023. While the donations were described as support for “local organizations that are working to reduce violence in communities,” the money instead moved through a network that steers tens of millions into the Tides Foundation — a major pass-through funder for left-wing causes.
During the same period, the Tides Center shifted nearly $20 million to the Tides Foundation, which in turn bankrolls a wide array of progressive activist groups.
“The Tides Network, marching in lockstep with similarly sized left-wing ‘dark money’ groups … poured hundreds of millions of dollars from totally untraceable sources into activism meant to sway the outcome of elections.”
Tides groups sent $132,000 to WESPAC, the fiscal sponsor of National Students for Justice in Palestine and the Palestinian Youth Movement. The former organized a “Day of Resistance” one day after Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, terror attack on Israel, while the latter praised the assault as “the collapse of the torturous Zionist occupation.”
Pro-Hamas groups Jewish Voice for Peace and If Not Now — both involved in the occupation of a U.S. Capitol building — pulled in a combined $102,000 through Tides-linked funding streams in 2022, according to the DCNF.

The Trump administration is suing six Democratic-led states to force them to hand over their voter registration lists, further raising concerns about alleged efforts by the Trump administration to undermine elections.
The Justice Department announced the lawsuits against California, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania on Thursday, about 10 days after it sued Oregon and Maine, seeking the same information. Of the eight states, all but one have a Democratic governor.
