Talk to Denise Josiah Gospel Music Artist
Singer, songwriter, and worship leader Denise Josiah was born on the Caribbean island of Sint Maarten and has since developed into a passionate psalmist with a heart for God. Now residing in the Baltimore Washington area (DMV), Denise has performed extensively and has been featured at a number of other events in and around the DMV and across the United States and Europe. Growing up as a ‘PK’, Denise was no stranger to the stage. Her enthusiasm for life and her love for music led her to the microphone at the very early age of four and since then has blossomed into a powerful classically trained soprano with a mixed-genre appeal.
Denise has appeared on religious television networks and has served in a number of capacities, including guest psalmist, worship coordinator, and choir director. She has now embarked on launching her solo music career as a recording artist following the release of her first single “I Surrender” in summer of 2015. After two years of production, Denise has just completed her long awaited CD project entitled “Songs for the Heart”. Produced by her husband Dr. Donnell Josiah,“Songs for the Heart” represents a two-year collaborative effort that includes a wide array of gifted musicians including the likes of Phil Lasciter, MoHorns, Buddy Lakins, Jonathan DuBose, singers from Darin Atwater’s Soulful Symphony, and countless others.
