Strangely Entertaining – Tim McKew

January 22, 2016

Tim McKew is one of Australia’s cabaret legends, a gay cultural icon who has been bringing his performance work to audiences here and internationally for many years, most recently with his sell-out Noel Coward shows in New York.

Tim McKew is  internationally acclaimed and has been performing here in Australia and abroad for many years in cities including, Melbourne, Sydney, London, Berlin, Shanghai and more recently in sold-out shows with his Noël Coward production in New York.

He is arguably one of the most influential performers in Melbourne’s history of cabaret and performance art, having forged his career in the 1970s with appearances far and wide. He is now considered one of the world’s best interpreters of Noël Coward, and has been taken to the USA for various tours of his one-man show.

Following a sold-out season at William Mora Gallery in 2015, Tim McKew reprises his 1979 cult classic, Come Down With Us, in a two-night season at the Hare Hole  for Word is Out, part of the 2016 Midsumma Festival.
