This week we learned about the longer response times in Salt Lake City when you call for a police officer. It's so hard to hire police officers right now, here and all over the country. Senator Karen Mayne has an idea and has proposed legislation that would allow people to become police officers who are not citizens but are background checked and go through all the other requirements. Amanda is joined this week by Senator Mayne, Pamela Atkinson, community advocate and advisor to Governor Gary Herbert, and Christine Cooke, Education Policy Director for the Sutherland Institute.
