As a black woman and social justice educator, Cassie Bingham looks at this moment in time in race relations in a unique way. She is also the Engagement Coordinator at the Center for Social Impact at Utah Valley University. This moment in time has mainstreamed the conversations that have been going on in the black community for decades. The statistics behind police brutality demand that we agree black people have been treated unfairly, have been abused, in the criminal justice system. Looking at that, dealing with that, is what the Black Lives Matter movement is all about.
