A Woman's View with Amanda Dickson
Jeb Bush’s ideas on transforming education – what do you think?
Former Governor Jeb Bush came to Utah recently to share his ideas on transforming education. One of his more controversial ideas was not transferring kids past third grade unless they could meet certain benchmarks, especially in reading. He also talked about removing ties with the federal government. KSL Newsradio’s Amanda Dickson asked her guests, one of whom was a teacher for many years in a Title I school, to share their thoughts. Amanda’s guests this week include Utah State Senator Karen Mayne, Christine Cooke, Education Policy Director at the Sutherland Institute and Jean Millar, Executive Director of the Women and Newborns Clinical Program for Intermountain Healthcare.
