Wild & Free: A Battle Born Podcast
Episode 33: Into the Wild...where our live taping gets LIT
In this episode we present the recording of our first ever live taping, recorded on June 13th, 2019 at the East Las Vegas Library.
We are joined by Erica Mosca, the Founder and Executive Director of Leaders In Training (https://www.LITLV.org); Nikol Leyva, Program Manager at Leaders In Training; and Mrs. Telles along with her young adult children (and LIT Leaders) Tajari and Taja’nai. We talk about the work and impact of Leaders In Training, their long term goal for the program, and learn how parents and students can learn to better advocate for their education.
If you would like to help out by donating to Leaders In Training, go to: https://www.litlv.org/donate. LIT is also always looking for volunteers to help out with their programs or to provide transportation for their Leaders. Visit their website for more information - https://www.LITLV.org.
We would like to thank Sal, the Branch Manager, and the rest of the staff of the East Las Vegas Library for hosting us, and a special shout out to Anna from the Las Vegas Clark County Library. We also could not have done this without the entire Wild & Free team, Jose Sotelo & Ashleigh Pacheco (and lil Sebastian), Bertha Gutierrez, and Raven (who had dog business to attend to and could not make the live taping).
