Wild and Free: A Battle Born podcast is a podcast that serves as a platform for non-profit professionals, social justice activists and community driven artists that are trying to make a difference in the Southern Nevada community. We will talk about the issues that matter and will motivate our fellow community members to get involved.

On this episode we speak with organizer, activist, outdoorsperson, DREAMer and superwoman Erika Castro. Erika serves as the Senior Immigration Organizer with the Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada (PLAN). Erika talks about her path to becoming an organizer and the spark that keeps her going. She shares with us about the challenges she has faced both personally and in her work. Erika, who started her work as a cook, also talks about her favorite food and  gets our Co-Wranglers very hungry for delicious treats. This episode was recorded prior to the November 2018 election, but clearly the hard work Erika and her fellow organizers put into the election has paid off!
