The Spiral Dance with Hawthorne

A Celebration of Samhaiin
Samhain is the end of the harvest season and the new solar year. We celebrate from sunset on the 31 October to sunset on November 1. It is a festival of darkness and we live softly by candle light.
At Samhain we light special bonfires that have protective and cleansing powers.
At Samhain the veil between this world and the afterlife is at its thinnest point of the whole year, making it easier to communicate with those who have left this world. Samhain is a liminal time, when the spirits or fairies could more easily come into our world. Leave offerings of food and drink for them.
We celebrate the lives of our Beloved Dead, whose spirits we invite to attend our festivities. Set places at your table for them and include them in your feast.
Be well. Do good. Enjoy the show!
