Why Weddings: Traditions, Trends, and Tips for the Modern Couple

Why Weddings is Live, Let’s Plan a Wedding!

February 14, 2020

Happy Valentine’s Day! When deciding on a launch date for Why Weddings I went back and forth on a few different dates a few different times. In the end Valentine’s Day, a day devoted to love, was the perfect choice. Yesterday, February 13, is the fourth most popular date to get engaged. This means newly betrothed couples are in the throws of planning a wedding.

In this episode I share a bit of my story and my why for creating this space. I hope you enjoy the interviews to come and if you take nothing else from this podcast/blog know this: there are no rules. Let me say that again, there are no rules. Celebrate how you want, with who you want. Compromise on the little things is okay but make sure you love the big things. Talk with your vendors about how to create moments that will stand out, you’ve hired professionals let them help you bring your vision to life. Finally, talk to your partner. Find out how involved they want to be and how involved you want them to be. My husband often says, “Planning a wedding is making a million decisions about things you didn’t know you had an opinion about.”
