SFW9: Is the Testimony of the Eyewitnesses Credible?
This lesson is Lesson 1 presented during our Spring 2014 Gospel Meeting. Â Our speaker is Greg Gwin from Columbia, TN
In this lesson Greg examines the credibility of the eyewitnesses of Jesus and his life. Â Our Biblical record of the things Jesus said and did depends on the reliability of these eyewitnesses. Â Can the witnesses be trusted?
Greg presents an examination of the witnesses from the point of view of legal expert Simon Greenleaf. Mr. Greenleaf proposed that a trustworthy witness must satisfy 5 tests of truthfulness. Â Greg discusses each of these and shows from the scripture that the eyewitness testimony of Jesus can be trusted.
