EPISODE 195 – Space to Bloom
How can collaboration turn a crisis into opportunity?
When ABC Head Start Society suddenly lost most of its classroom spaces, hundreds of children and families faced the risk of losing vital early learning supports.
That’s when Terra Centre, an organization that helps young parents complete school and build stability, stepped forward — offering newly renovated space so programs could continue.
With support from ECF, this partnership became a powerful example of how Edmonton’s nonprofits come together to lift one another up. Together, they’ve created spaces filled with belonging, opportunity, and hope for children and families across the city.
In this episode, Zachary Ayotte from Odvod Media speaks with Erin Gobolos, CEO of ABC Head Start Society, and Karen Mottershead, Executive Director of Terra Centre, about how collaboration helped transform a space crisis into a shared success story.
