You're How Old - with Michelle Cox

December 07, 2021

Why do we think it’s a compliment to say to someone “Gee, you look so good for your age?”. Why is society at large so obsessed about staying young?

As I approach my 50th birthday, I’ve been reflecting on many things. How wonderful it is to be alive. How lucky I feel to be surrounded by so many amazing people in my life who bring me joy, challenge and support me, and what an absolute privilege it is to get ‘old’.

In this final episode for the season, my dear friend, fellow podcaster and incredibly talented business woman, Tina Tower takes hold of the mic and interviews me on all things ‘ageism’! We cover the topic of my upcoming milestone birthday and why I never thought I’d make it this far, what I would tell my 20year old self, and what I’m excited about most in this next chapter. I was a little apprehensive about getting interviewed by someone else on my own podcast - and Tina certainly hits a few nerves with her questioning - but it was a great chat.

It’s been a big year and I’m taking a break now until we return in January. A great time to catch up on any episodes you’ve missed given this is now the 70th in the series! Have a wonderful break over the new year, I do hope you get a chance to wind down a little and I look forward to being back ‘in your ears’ with more wonderful ‘uncomfortable conversations’ in 2022.

Much love,

Michelle x
