In this second podcast, I provide my listeners with the backstory to the memoir "Voice from an Urn." This final memoir, told from my mother's point of view and narrated by her, completes the trilogy I began with "No Tears for my Father", which revealed the incest I had suffered at the hands of my biological father from the ages of 11 - 24.
In this episode, you will come to know a little of what those who purchased "No Tears for my Father" know of my story, and for the first time, all listeners will get to hear my mother speak of her own, unhappy past, that began way back during World War 2 when she was a prisoner of war in the Nazi Labour Camps.
After the very short musical break toward the end of this podcast, my mother will begin her story. As she's no longer alive to record her voice, I do that for her, but hers is "the voice from the urn".
