Singles Club #8 — Valor

December 07, 2015

Welcome to Singles Club, our short-format show where every so often one of our hosts will take a little time to talk about a small-press, indie, or webcomic. If you have an independent work you'd like to share with us, send us a link or digital copy at review@viewfromthegutters.com.

This week Tobiah reviews Valor, an anthology of short fiction and illustrated prose stories inspired by folk lore and fairy tales, with a focus on female heroines. The book is published by Fairylogue Press, and features content from Isabelle Melançon and Megan Lavey-Heaton, creators of the popular webcomic series Namesake.

From the Fairylogue website:
Funded via Kickstarter in 2014, this young adult-friendly anthology features 19 comics and five illustrated prose stories from 24 creators. This anthology contain LBGTQ-friendly stories.

If you want to check out Valor for yourself, it is available in print in both soft and hardcover editions as well as a digital edition which is only $5. Additionally both print editions come with a complimentary digital copy.
