Episode 128 — Atomic Robo, Vol. 1-3

July 27, 2015

This week on View from the Gutters our topic work is Atomic Robo, Vol. 1-3, by Brian Clevinger and Scott Wegener. Launching in 2007, it follows the life and adventures of an atomic robot designed and built by Nikola Tesla in 1923 as he and his team of action scientists fight Nazis, intelligent dinosaurs, and the horrors of unexplained science not yet named!

Atomic Robo is a delightful series suitable for kids and adults, filled with action, adventure, and hilarious banter. It follows the adventures of our hero across his life, from pulp adventures in the 1930s to fighting in World War II, combating eldritch horrors with Carl Sagan in the 1970s, and up through to the present day.

In our recommendation section our hosts nominated Astonishing X-Men, Morning Glories, Animal Man, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and Goners for discussion on our next episode, and our selected title is Goners.

Our hosts for this episode are Andrew Chard, Joe Preti, Tobiah Panshin, Kayleigh Fleeman, and Brant Gillihan-Eddy.
