This week on View from the Gutters our topic work is Superman Unchained, by Scott Snyder, Jim Lee, and Dustin Nguyen. Published in 2013, the 9-issue mini-series was released to coincide with the Man of Steel film as well as Superman’s 75th anniversary. It features the reveal of a mysterious alien government operative who possesses stronger versions of all of Superman’s powers, who challenges Kal-El to re-examine the choices he’s made about how to be a hero.
