This week on View from the Gutters our topic work is The Wicked + The Divine, Vol. 1, written by Kieron Gillen with art by Jamie McKelvie and colors by Matt Wilson. Every 90 years 12 gods incarnate in the bodies of teenagers. All of them are dead within 2 years. The series follows Laura, a teenage girl living in London who idolizes The Pantheon—as the 12 gods are known—and is part of a subculture which follows them like celebrities. Laura soon finds herself helping Luci—that is, Lucifer—after the latter stands trial for murder.
