This week on View from the Gutters our topic work is Sovereign, Vol. 1, by Chris Roberson and Paul Maybury. Set in a familiar yet different world from our own, Sovereign follows several groups of characters as the time of convergence approaches, when demons inhabit the bodies of the dead and the world is prophesied to undergo a great change.

Often compared (favorably) to A Game of Thrones, this series is a fascinating story that blends fantasy with history and will surely tickle the fancy of any fans of the fantasy genre.
