Episode 82 — The Fuse: The Russia Shift

September 03, 2014

This week on View from the Gutters our topic work is The Fuse, Vol. 1: The Russian Shift, by Antony Johnston and Justin Greenwood. In the far future, The Fuse is an autonomous space station in orbit above Earth, five miles long and home to half a million people. In volume 1 we follow police detectives Dietrich and Klem as they investigate a pair of murders that seem to lead straight to the office of the mayor himself.

You can download a free digital copy of Issue 1 directly from Image’s website.

This week we are kicking off our Rocking September Batman 75th Anniversary Extravaganza. During the month of September we’ll be talking a lot about the caped crusader, starting with next week’s episode for we all pitched a Bat-family book.

In our recommendation section, our hosts nominated Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth, Batman: Contagion, Batman: Knightfall, Gotham Central, and Catwoman Vol. 1: Trail of the Catwoman for discussion on the next episode, and our selected title is Batman: Knightfall.

We invite you to discuss both this episode and its topic on our subreddit.

Our hosts for this episode are Andrew Chard, Tobiah Panshin, Joe Preti, Brant Gillihan-Eddy, and Cade Reynolds.
