EP08: How a healthy relationship to food helps you attract a healthy relationship

February 25, 2016

I am so excited about today’s episode.
Casey {from worthyandwell.com} + I have been buds almost since my business’ beginning. It’s been really fun to have a friend where we got to birth our businesses, programs, and services into the world together.
{This must be why moms who were pregnant together have unique + special bonds?! I think I’m kinda getting it.}
Anyways, she’s a master at helping people heal their relationship to food, and eat for fuel, flavor, and fun.
I adore Casey + what she teaches, mostly because she gave me a good excuse to use an analogy in one of my emails {SAT, old school style}:
Your relationship with yourself is to your romantic relationships, as _____ is to all your relationships.
Give up?
It’s food!
I love what Casey does because she doesn’t teach you what to eat/not to eat. She teaches you how to use your own inner wisdom as a guide to know what to eat. This not only changes your relationship to food, it really changes all the relationships you have in your life.
Food + my relationship to it has been a huge part of my life, and I attribute changing the way I ate to attract {and keep} Stevie. I was a chronic dieter + calorie counter-extraordinaire. For years I believed that once I reached the perfect weight, all my dating problems would be solved + I could have any relationship I wanted.
It was only once I saw food as something as nourishing + not ‘something to be conquered’ did I transform the relationship I had with myself, and ultimately, attract the relationship I truly wanted.
If you struggle with food, then this episode is for you.

About Casey:
For many years Casey had an unhealthy and unhappy relationship with food, her body, and her life. She is a self-described queen of the all-or-none when it came to food + dieting. She read every diet book she could get her hands on and ate in a very rigid way (that would usually backfire). This left her exhausted + feeling stuck.
She got her degree in nutrition from the University of Alberta, which was useful in learning how food affected her body. But what REALLY helped her was establishing a yoga practice. Yoga helped her let go of her perfectionist mentality + made her more mindful. It connected her with her own unique inner wisdom, which now serves to guide the way she eats, the way she treat her body, and the way she lives her life.
In this episode, here’s what you’ll learn:
1. How Casey created her own inner wisdom, and how it helps her make eating choices that keep her nourished + happy. {She’ll tell you how to create your own inner wisdom, too.}
2. How to eat on a first date or in front of men without feeling self-conscious
3. How mindful eating can help you attract the right relationship for you
4. How to deal with different food choices + values in a relationship {eg, you’re a vegetarian + he’s not}
