A Review of The Game Changers (VZ 337)

December 01, 2019

In this episode of our podcast, we review a recently released documentary called The Game Changers.

Back in episode 275, The Rise of the Vegan Athlete, we discussed how many athletes are turning to a plant-based diet.

If you listened to episode 275, you might recall that I was particularly excited about this because, as a former athlete, I know there are a lot of stereotypes and misinformation purporting that vegans are unable to get the nutrition they need to perform at the top levels of their given sport. Of course, this is not true.

Summary of The Game Changers
This documentary follows an elite Special Forces Trainer, James Wilks.  After suffering a serious injury, James spends his recovery time researching and uncovering the truth behind plant-based diets and top athletes.

The film features several very well-known elite athletes, special ops soldiers, and some familiar faces in the world of plant-based nutrition, including Rip Esselstyn, Caldwell Esselstyn, and Dean Ornish.
