Carnists just love yelling 'Get a Job!' at vegan activists. Little do they know most of us actually have jobs. If we didn't, how on earth would we afford all the vegan ice cream?
In this episode David Roberts and Kelaherb dive deep into the vegan working world. Desperate times call for desperate measures and some of us vegans have found ourselves working very non-vegan jobs, like the time Kelaherb worked at Coles Express that sell bacon, eggs and tonnes of cow's milk. 
Other times we find ourselves working in jobs that do no extra harm to animals, but also don't do anything to help. That can be a hard thing to deal with when you've realised your purpose is to change the world for animals. You find yourself thinking, 'how the heck am I going to make time to get on a roof when I am trapped in this 9-5 filing TMA reports all day?! What a waste!'
And then there is the Grand Goal, the Vegan Job. Yup, some lucky ducks have managed to find jobs working for vegan organisations. Other activists have started vegan businesses or set themselves up a Patreon to help fund their work. 
So why is it that a vegan who works for an outreach org, gets a pat on the back by our community, but a vegan who does the same work funded by Patreon gets a slap in the face?
