The Unenthusiastic Critic

EASY RIDER (1969)

August 08, 2019

It's the return of The Unenthusiastic Critic podcast, as Nakea and Michael hit the road for 1969's Easy Rider, starring Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, and Jack Nicholson.

Back in the Summer of '69, it seemed like the hippies were going to change the world, and young maverick filmmakers like Hopper and Fonda were going to change Hollywood. Fifty years later, however, both of those supposed revolutions are little more than romanticized distant memories. So this week we're watching this counterculture classic, and discovering that it still has a lot to say about how it all went so wrong.

Get your motor runnin', and head out on the highway with The Unenthusiastic Critic...
