Promoting Accessibility to Healthcare
In this episode we talk about the novel PATH program here at UC Davis. This program was implemented to promote accessibility to health care for individuals with neurodevelopmental differences. We talk with the co-directors, pediatric developmental pediatrician Dr. Scott Akins and pediatric surgeon Dr. Jonathan Kohler about their experiences caring for children with neurodevelopmental differences in the healthcare setting. We review the health disparities that exist within this population and ways that we as providers and parents can collaborate for a more successful approach to providing evidence based care for these kids and families.
We thank Dr. Akins and Kohler for joining us for todays episode, although Drs Lena & Dean take responsibility for any errors or misinformation
