009: Ghosting

February 20, 2016

Welcome to Tuff Love, a weekly live group coaching call with your host, ME, Rob Kandell. I am excited about this call because I talk about a topic that are near and dear to me – GHOSTING. The urban dictionary defines ghosting as:
The act of suddenly ceasing all communication with someone the subject is dating, but no longer wishes to date. This is done in hopes that the ghostee will just "get the hint" and leave the subject alone, as opposed to the subject simply telling them he/she is no longer interested. Ghosting is not specific to a certain gender and is closely related to the subject's maturity and communication skills. Many attempt to justify ghosting as a way to cease dating the ghostee without hurting their feelings, but it in fact proves the subject is thinking more of themselves, as ghosting often creates more confusion for the ghostee than if the subject kindly stated how he/she feels.
I’m a bit mystified by this topic and then realize… oops, I do it all the time.

We then give some tips on how to end a relationship through communication.

My old student Vinay comes in and has an emotional discussion about his current state of affairs.”Lost” he says and then we dialogue about some options for him.

We finish with Selina who is struggling with her own self-worth and boundaries in her relationship.

It’s a great call and I’m grateful you’re here. If you feel so inclined, please support this podcast by sending a little lovin’ of your own via paypal to PAYPAL@kc.com.

We now join the call.
